Please read the Facility Use Policy before signing below.


Policy shall cover all of the FPC facilities; specific guidelines for the Gideon Blackburn House are incorporated herein by reference.  In addition, there are specific guidelines to follow when using the church facilities for a wedding and reception or funeral.


 


Use of the facilities of FPC should be in accordance with the mission of FPC and should demonstrate good stewardship of the facilities provided.


 


Unless otherwise noted, the Trustees and Session of FPC have delegated the responsibility of administering the Facilities Use Policy to the Church Business Administrator and Pastor.


 


Priorities for use are as follows:


1.       First Presbyterian Church Ministry sponsored event – no fees are assessed


2.       Church Member Event – fee schedule to be applied


3.       Non-member, Community Group and Organizational event – fee schedule to be applied


 


Each request will be evaluated for: a) compatibility with the mission, b) outreach of the church, and c) the schedule of the church activities.  Given the above stated priorities, reservations will be taken on a “first come, first served” basis unless otherwise noted.


 


Reservations should be made using the Facilities Request Form.  


 


At no time will any church facilities be used for profit-making or political meetings or activities, to include the posting of political or non-church related signage in church facilities or on church grounds.  Fundraising is limited to ministries related to or sponsored by FPC.  Our church reserves the right to limit the use of the church facilities at any time to any group or individual.


 


The use of alcoholic beverages and/or drugs is strictly forbidden.  Smoking is prohibited within any FPC facility and is discouraged on the church grounds.  No weapons of any kind are permitted on church property.


 


All ushers are required to protect church facilities and property from damage and loss during use.  Facilities utilized must be returned to their original condition by the user.


 


Decorations are limited to those which will avoid damaging surfaces or fixtures.  Signs must be limited to bulletin board areas or be placed on easels.


 


Use of any church musical instruments must be approved by the FPC Director of Music.


 


FPC assumes no responsibility for loss, injury, or damage to persons or property during use of these facilities.

Note: Specific fees, if any, for weddings and receptions or funerals are addressed in the published guidelines for those events.  Fees for members are a recommended donation which will not be reflected on their giving statement.

 
 
Payment is due to the bookkeeper 7 days prior to the event.
