Our PKC (Presbyterian Kids Connection) 3rd – 5th grade crew is heading out for an afternoon of exploration, learning, and fun at Cathedral Caverns State Park.
~Noon - We’ll begin our adventure by meeting in the Fellowship Hall for sign-in. After a morning at church, we’ll take a few minutes to change into our “adventure clothes” and enjoy a light snack.
~12:30 - Travel on the church bus (about 35 min drive).
~1:05 - Upon arrival we’ll enjoy a picnic lunch under the pavilion by the parking lot – lunch is provided! Before our cave tour, we’ll have a special opportunity to learn from our very own FPC member and Park Ranger, David Young, who will share the wonders of this incredible state park.
~2:00 - Our cave tour lasts about 90 minutes and it’s about a mile and a half walk round trip. You’ll be amazed by the towering cathedral-like entrance, the Big Room, and all the amazing formations deep underground! It’s always 58 degrees in the cave, so dress in layers to be ready for our rain or shine outdoor lunch and underground fun.
~3:30 - Travel back to church for parent pick-up just after 4:00.

I give my permission for my child to travel on the church bus or other vehicles with chaperones.
In the event of an emergency where medical treatment is required, I give my permission to the church staff or sponsor to obtain the services of a licensed physician. The listed parent and/or emergency contact will be notified immediately concerning any such emergency. I release First Presbyterian Church from liability regarding any such injury or illness.
Pictures or video of groups of participants and volunteers having fun at PKC may appear on the church's website or on social media (i.e. our church Facebook or Instagram page). I grant permission for you to photograph/video my child in that context. Specific privacy issues will be addressed by special request to dce@fpchsv.org or note below.
